How to Mount the Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is very quick and easy to install. The sheets are all one length and they are mounted using plastic clips.

In the assembly instructions you can see where to fit the sheets and clips.

For the assembly you will need acetone, sandpaper and a little saw or a hobby-knife.

You start by mounting the roof, after that the sides and lastly the gables.

Mounting 2

The frame is degreased with acetone, to get the best fitting.

  Mounting 3

The polycarbonate sheets does only have UV-protection on one side marked with a label. It is important that you install it right otherwise it will crumble after a few years, and the guarantee will be invalidated.

Mounting4

The sheets are delivered with a protective covering which you have to peel off before mounted in the greenhouse.

  Mounting 5

Leave the white label on the sheet until you have installed it. Otherwise it is difficult to see which side should face outwards.

Mounting 6

Sand the edge of the polycarbonate sheets, to make the silicone seat more effectively once it is glued.

  Mounting 7

Put on a 3 mm thick line of silicone onto the frame. (Silicone is not necessary for 6 and 10 mm polycarbonate)

Mounting 8

The A-lists are installed into the top of the section as shown. The "flap" of the list are pushed into the profile in the top. In some cases the list has to be fitted in the gables, by cutting the length. The polycarbonate sheets for the Professional models are mounted with a u-lists in stead. They are mounted directly onto the sheets in the top and bottom. That means that you have to glue them to the frame at the top and bottom.

  Mounting 9

The A-list are mounted onto the bottom of the sections in the same way.

Mounting 10

Press the polycarbonate sheet into the A-list.

  Mounting 11

Then you push the polycarbonate sheet into the top A-list. Remember to turn the polycarbonate sheet the right way round.

Mounting 12

Then you fix the M-lists into the sides. You start from the top and push the list in between the frame and the polycarbonate sheet. It has to "click" before it is mounted correctly.

  Mounting 13

When the polycarbonate sheets are mounted, you can remove the white label with "this side out".
